The upper arm lift – waving without wobbling
The aim of an arm lift is to remove the sagging pockets of skin that have formed as a result of the natural aging process or significant weight loss. Lots of exercise and a balanced diet can go a long way towards improving the appearance of your skin. Whatever still hangs and “wobbles” is surgically tightened and strengthened.
For an upper arm lift, excess fat may first be sucked out, then the operating doctor makes an incision along the inside of the upper arm - usually from the armpit to the elbow. He removes excess fat and skin and then puts the skin areas along the incision back together. In most cases, the arm lift is performed under general anesthesia and takes between two and four hours.
After the arm lift, you will stay in the clinic for at least one day. The operation itself is relatively low-risk, but causes slight pain, swelling, redness or hematomas. The most serious after-effects include unsightly scarring or even growths. Injury to lymphatic vessels can lead to lymphatic congestion. Both complications of the upper arm lift require follow-up treatments, the costs of which you can simply pass on to us with beautyprotect insurance. Protect yourself!
